Where Angels Wish to Tread

 

It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look. 1^st Peter 1:12 (NIV)

Can any of the angels that joined Lucifer in his long war against God be redeemed?   

All the commentary opinions I have read say no. There are a couple of reasons: First, all the angels that went with Lucifer did so after witnessing the Glory of God with no deception to mislead them and draw them into sin. Their rebellion was completely voluntary, and viciously evil, and therefore totally without excuse. Second, redemption was offered to Adam’s race as he was created in the Image of God. The angels were created in a holy estate, but not in God’s image as were Adam and Eve. 

Paul speaks of “elect” angels, one’s who will never rebel and Peter speaks of the ones God put in chains to await judgment (1st Timothy 5:21, 2nd Peter 2:4).

 So, because Lucifer and the ones that joined him in rebellion did so voluntarily after beholding the Perfection of the Godhead in its magnificent form and glory, it is questionable that even if they were offered salvation and a way to be forgiven, they would refuse it and choose to remain in their chosen state of damnation (Matthew 25:41). 

 But being made in the Image of God means being created with purpose, difference and the highest worth. Worth that the Father who held all Power and Perfection offered up His Son to reclaim us to Himself. In God’s fullest Power, Knowledge, and Perfection He could have wiped the slate clean and started over. His justice demanded it but instead of giving us what we had coming He gave us Jesus.

 What a tremendous blessing that God created the human race in His image with that Get Out of Hell Free card through the cross and the shed blood of the Lamb of God.

 We only need to believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31). The ALL is totally inclusive in a dying breath of faith or if one cannot speak the final thought of belief. God hears and sees both. And why not? He is God (Jeremiah 32:27).

 We are a special race in Adam’s seed who are worthy to attain Salvation, through Jesus Christ. In the very place we make our home in Jesus, it is the very place His angels wish to tread.

¿Puede alguno de los ángeles que se unieron a Lucifer en su larga guerra contra Dios ser redimido?

Todas las opiniones de comentario que he leído dicen que no. Hay un par de razones: Primero, todos los ángeles que acompañaron a Lucifer lo hicieron después de presenciar la Gloria de Dios sin engaños que los engañaran o los atrajeran al pecado. Su rebelión fue completamente voluntaria y cruelmente malvada, y por tanto totalmente sin excusa. Segundo, se ofreció redención a la raza de Adán, ya que fue creado a imagen de Dios. Los ángeles fueron creados en un estado sagrado, pero no a imagen de Dios como lo fueron Adán y Eva.

Pablo habla de ángeles "elegidos", aquellos que nunca se rebelarán, y Pedro habla de aquellos que Dios encadenó para esperar el juicio (1 Timoteo 5:21, 2 Pedro 2:4).

Así que, dado que Lucifer y quienes se unieron a él en la rebelión lo hicieron voluntariamente tras contemplar la Perfección de la Divinidad en su magnífica forma y gloria, es cuestionable que, incluso si se les ofreciera salvación y una forma de ser perdonados, la rechazaran y eligieran permanecer en su estado de condenación elegido (Mateo 25:41).

Pero ser hecho a imagen de Dios significa ser creado con propósito, diferencia y el valor más alto. Valor que el Padre, que tenía todo el poder y la perfección, ofreció a su Hijo para reclamarnos de nuevo para Sí. En todo el poder, conocimiento y perfección de Dios podría haber borrado la pizarra y empezar de nuevo. Su justicia lo exigía, pero en lugar de darnos lo que merecíamos nos dio a Jesús.

Qué bendición tan tremenda que Dios haya creado a la raza humana a Su imagen con esa carta de Fuera del Infierno, Libre, a través de la cruz y la sangre derramada del Cordero de Dios.

Solo necesitamos creer en la obra terminada de Jesucristo (Hechos 16:30-31). El TODO es totalmente inclusivo en el último aliento de fe o si uno no puede pronunciar el pensamiento final de la fe. Dios oye y ve ambos. ¿Y por qué no? Él es Dios (Jeremías 32:27).

Somos una raza especial en la descendencia de Adán que somos dignos de alcanzar la Salvación, a través de Jesucristo. En el mismo lugar donde hacemos nuestro hogar en Jesús, es el lugar que sus ángeles desean pisar.
